John Wayne Gacy"You know... clowns can get away with murder."
Biography John Gacy grew up with an abusive, alcoholic father who regularly beat him and abused him. Gacy went through traumatic childhood experiences such as being molested by a family friend at the age of 9, being called "sissy" and "Mama's boy" by his elder brother, and being struck in the head by a swing at the age of 11. This resulted in a blood clot in his brain which was not discovered until he was 16. Gacy never completed high school and graduated from college. Later in the years, he started his own business, PMD (Painting, Decorating, and Maintenance), which was a way to lure his victims into his house. In addition, he often transformed into "Pogo the Clown" and attended community parties and gatherings, thus, steadily building up a nice reputation. His clever act of disguising himself as a clown mislead police and they never got around to investigating him fully when he was suspected. Gacy also went through multiple marriages and separations; most of his wives left him when he confessed that he was bisexual.

Method of Operation Gacy lured boys into his business by giving job offers and usually invited him into his house. He handcuffed his victims and cunningly asked them if they could get out of the cuffs before raping and torturing them. He would often use a rope to strangle his targets and once they were dead, Gacy would stuff them into the crawlspace under his home and hide the body with a layer of concrete.
